Neural modeling of pollutant emissions in a recovery boiler for a Kraft pulp mill.
A model based on Metacomp was developed for the emissions of sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and total reduced sulphur due to combustion of black liquor. The model was able to identify the significant variables for control purposes and predict the time averaged trends very well, through not the high frequency charges in emissions levels.
